The Arcadia Titans will be playing at home against the Vista Grande Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Arcadia will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
Last Friday, Arcadia never let their opponents score. They strolled past Combs with points to spare, taking the game 19-0. Given Arcadia's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona football rankings (they are ranked 39th, while Combs is ranked 141st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Brady Forst, who rushed for 196 yards while picking up 8.5 yards per carry. Forst was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 60 yards.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 54 points the game before, Vista Grande were a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They suffered a rough 26-6 loss at the hands of Mesquite.
Arcadia's win was their eighth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.9 points per game. As for Vista Grande, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-2.
Arcadia was able to grind out a solid victory over Vista Grande when the teams last played back in October of 2015, winning 16-7. Does Arcadia have another victory up their sleeve, or will Vista Grande turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
