On Monday, Faith Baptist School earned a 40-29 victory over Holly Grove Christian. Given Faith Baptist School's advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while Holly Grove Christian is ranked 255th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Brenna Binkley went supernova for Faith Baptist School, scoring 17 points along with eight steals and seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Binkley has scored all season. Kiersten Yates HS was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Faith Baptist School's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-2. As for Holly Grove Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Faith Baptist School will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Salisbury Christian at 4:00 p.m. on February 1st. As for Holly Grove Christian, they will take on Sussex Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
