Flagstaff and Bradshaw Mountain are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2020, but likely not for long. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Bears at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Flagstaff will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Flagstaff is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Lee Williams with a sharp 18-2 victory on Saturday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by ten runs or more this season.

Mia Garcia made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had over her last five contests. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI.
In other batting news, Flagstaff let Hallie Watkins and Ryleigh Alex run wild. Watkins scored four runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances, while Alex scored two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most runs Watkins has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lucy Lansens, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Flagstaff hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in six consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Bradshaw Mountain narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Poston Butte 7-6. The victory continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Broncos: they've now won three in a row.
Kodee Statler was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jaslene Valentine, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Skye Oberan was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Flagstaff has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-6-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Bradshaw Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Flagstaff hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .361. However, it's not like Bradshaw Mountain struggles in that department as they've averaged .319. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Flagstaff came out on top in a nail-biter against Bradshaw Mountain in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 8-6. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
