The Velma Jackson Falcons won the last time they faced the Noxapater Tigers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Velma Jackson blew past the Tigers 60-27 on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-14.
Jamarquez Davis had an outrageously good game as he scored 17 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Joel Fleming, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
The victory got Velma Jackson back to even at 13-13. As for Noxapater, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-15.
Velma Jackson will head out on the road to take on the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. French Camp Academy is out to stop a nine-game streak of losses at home. Noxapater does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
