Brearley has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Metuchen Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for Brearley on the road against Middlesex County Vo-Tech as the squad secured a 40-6 win. Given Brearley's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 168th, while Middlesex County Vo-Tech is ranked 377th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Metuchen put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Monday. They breezed by Dunellen at home to the tune of 53-11. The victory was nothing new for Metuchen as they're now sitting on six straight.
Brearley has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Metuchen, they pushed their record up to 16-6 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home.
