Basketball Recap: Judge Memorial Catholic Takes a Loss

Judge Memorial Catholic lost against Springville back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Judge Memorial Catholic Bulldogs fell 66-58 to the Springville Red Devils. The Bulldogs' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Despite the loss, Judge Memorial Catholic still got an impressive performance from Deng Deng, who went 9 for 18 on his way to 24 points. With that strong performance, Deng is now averaging an impressive 15.2 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Aymen Ismail, who went 5 of 11 en route to 10 points along with six boards and three steals.

Judge Memorial Catholic's record now sits at 3-6. As for Springville, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-3.

Judge Memorial Catholic will be playing in front of their home fans against Juan Diego Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Judge Memorial Catholic is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.2 points per game this season. As for Springville, they will take on Bountiful at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Bountiful's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
