After flying high against the Tolland Eagles last Tuesday, the Enfield Eagles came back down to earth. Enfield fell to the Red Hawks 66-60. While losing is never fun, Enfield can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 79th, while the Red Hawks are ranked 11th).
Derrick Sheets continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Manchester, scoring 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayveon Robinson, who scored no points along with 18 rebounds and four steals.
Enfield now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Manchester, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-2.
Enfield will head out on the road to challenge the Eagles at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Manchester, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
