Soccer Recap: Lely Has No Trouble Against Dunbar

Lely kept a clean sheet against Dunbar on Thursday. They were the clear victor by an 8-0 margin over the Dunbar Tigers. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won five contests by four goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Dunbar from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Stive Argueta led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Lely is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those four games. As for Dunbar, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lely will welcome Oasis at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Dunbar, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Dunbar duke it out with the East Lee County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
