Jupiter Christian suffered their closest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Lake Worth Christian by a score of 81-78. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Monday (61), Jupiter Christian still had to take the loss.
Jupiter Christian's loss came about despite a quality game from Conner Hoffman, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hoffman has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Matthew Barrett, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Jupiter Christian were working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Oxbridge Academy pushed their score all the way to 55 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 64-55 to Pine Crest. Oxbridge Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jupiter Christian bumped their record down to 4-7 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Oxbridge Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Jupiter Christian against Oxbridge Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2021 as the squad secured a 83-55 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Oxbridge Academy's Bo Squitieri, who scored 22 points.
