After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three matchups, Paradise finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Boyd Yellowjackets. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Paradise got a good showing from Colton Walker, who tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. The dominant performance also gave Walker a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

At the plate, Paradise saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Lampley, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Paradise's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-6-2. As for Boyd, they pushed their record up to 18-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

While Paradise had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
