The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Garcia, who got on base in four of his seven plate appearances with six stolen bases, five runs, and one triple.
Linden always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Dayton had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Bears. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by just one run.
Dayton saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Michael Ramirez, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
Dayton's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Linden, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-12.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Linden has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Dayton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
