The Westminster Christian Warriors will challenge the Columbus Explorers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Westminster Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Keys Gate 13-1 on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won eight in a row.
Aaron Hernandez looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Columbus had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. Everything went their way against the Bulls as they made off with an 11-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Explorers, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Columbus also got a great performance from Michael Say as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Say has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run any time he's pitched this season.
At the plate, Jose Correa was a standout: he scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Matthew Fernandez was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.
Columbus' win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Westminster Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2-1.
Westminster Christian beat Columbus 6-1 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Does Westminster Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Columbus turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
