The matchup was Lee's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Taraya Thompson, who scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds.
Apollo's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-3. As for Butler County, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Apollo will take on Owensboro Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Owensboro Catholic presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Apollo in Kentucky (Owensboro Catholic is ranked 19th, while Apollo is ranked 175th). As for Butler County, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Todd County Central at 7:30 p.m.
