They claimed a resounding 110-47 victory over Mathews at home. Winning may never get old, but Carver College and Career Academy sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Carver College and Career Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brandon Hill, who almost dropped a double-double on 27 points and nine steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hill has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Camron Paul, who dropped a double-double on 35 points and ten rebounds.
Carver College and Career Academy's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37.5 points. As for Mathews, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.
Carver College and Career Academy will head out on the road to face off against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. J.R. Tucker will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 294th, while the Wolverines are ranked 145th). As for Mathews, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Cougars at 6:00 p.m.
