The biggest upset of the week belonged to McLoud, who took down 68th ranked Glenpool, 36-25. Joseph Wood threw for 65 yards and one touchdown and ran for 69 yards in the win.
The Redskins moved up to 84 from 131 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 4A District 2. McLoud was able to make the jump by beating the Warriors 36-25.
Douglass's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Patrick McKaufman threw for 147 and one touchdown and Anthony Williams had 90 yards receiving. On the ground Christopher High chipped in 206 yards. Dior Smiley helped Douglass' passing attack out by catching three balls for 26 yards.
Nathan Clark made the biggest impact on defense this week as Eric Cardin's team bested Glenpool. The 5-foot-9 senior pulled down one interception.
The Redskins' Wood and Zaylon Mahtapene have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Wood has thrown for 543 yards this season, while Mahtapene, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 12 catches for 218 yards. High from the Trojans leads the league in rushing with 514 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when McLoud takes on Santa Fe South. The Redskins' offense has recorded 108 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while the Saints have permitted only 146 on the year.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Tecumseh takes on Ada. The Savages have allowed 60 points this season, while the Cougars have given up 49. Tecumseh allowed 40 points last week as it fell to Douglass.
Ada extended the longest winning streak in 4A District 2 this week by beating Mannford, 56-7. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
