The Dothan Cougars will face off against the Auburn Tigers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Auburn took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Dothan, who comes in off a win.
Dothan not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since February 24th (when they won 16-2). They blew past Carver Montgomery 12-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.
Graham Davis made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

In other batting news, Tripp Benton was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Braddoc Jenkins, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with four RBI and one double.
Dothan hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Carver Montgomery struck out seven times.
Meanwhile, Auburn unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pike Road.
Lawson Hare was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Antwane Daniels, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs.
Dothan's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Auburn, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8.
