Matt Hubbell ran for a touchdown with 3:00 remaining in the fourth quarter and held on to beat
Richwoods (Peoria, Ill.) 23-19 on Saturday.
The Pioneers led 10-7 at halftime, but the Knights recaptured the lead on a passing touchdown with 5:00 to go in the third.
Alleman expanded its lead to four points entering the fourth quarter. AHS's lone score in the quarter came on a touchdown pass by
Nate Herron to
Kylee Dorsey.
The defeat comes as a step back for Richwoods, which notched a 21-14 victory over Peoria in its previous outing.
Alleman (6-2) goes up against United Township in a Midwest 10 game matchup next week, while Richwoods (5-3) locks horns with Quincy also in a Midwest 10 game.
