The Deshler Dragons entered their tilt with the Kenesaw Blue Devils with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Deshler snuck past Kenesaw with a 48-42 victory on Thursday. This was payback for Deshler, who suffered a 46-38 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Deshler got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Easton Nash out in front who scored 18 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Nash has scored all season. Cameron Harding was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five assists.
Several Blue Devils players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Adam Denkert, who scored eight points. Another player making a difference was Jack Ryan, who scored ten points.
Deshler now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Kenesaw, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.
Deshler will take on Kenesaw at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kenesaw is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for they, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Giltner at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (Giltner is ranked 234th, while Kenesaw is ranked 215th).
