The Salem Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the East Marion Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Salem has struggled recently with 15 losses in a row, while East Marion will arrive with four straight victories.
Salem suffered their biggest loss since November 9, 2023 on Thursday. They were the victim of a tough 57-34 defeat at the hands of Resurrection Catholic.
Meanwhile, East Marion scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Lumberton, posting a 79-42 win at home. East Marion has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 23 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Donny Anderson, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Jaydon Rawls was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Salem bumped their record down to 0-13 with that loss, which was their seventh straight at home. As for East Marion, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season.
