Softball Recap: Tipton-Rosemark Academy Wins Going Away Against Covington

After only one run in their last matchup, Tipton-Rosemark Academy made sure to put some runs up on the board against Covington on Monday. The Tipton-Rosemark Academy Rebels blew past the Covington Chargers 16-2. The victory continues a trend for the Rebels in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now won seven in a row.

Tipton-Rosemark Academy got a massive performance out of Anniston Glass, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave Glass a new career-high in runs. Another player making a difference was Peyton Sykes, who scored three runs while going 5-for-5.

Tipton-Rosemark Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .553. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Covington only posted an OBP of .364.

Tipton-Rosemark Academy's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Covington, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tipton-Rosemark Academy will welcome Bartlett at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
