When it comes to explaining why Miller Grove lost, one person who can't be blamed is Arieyona Christion. Despite the final result, she scored 21 points along with six rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Christion has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kamiya Moore, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Miller Grove has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for Westminster, their victory bumped their record up to 15-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Miller Grove will take on Stephenson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Miller Grove: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Stephenson has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road. Westminster will take on Druid Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Westminster is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Druid Hills in Georgia (Westminster is ranked 157th, while Druid Hills is ranked 327th).
