The Miami-Yoder Buffaloes can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Saturday. They put the hurt on Elbert with a sharp 45-24 win. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Miami-Yoder had established a 20 point advantage.
Kylie McKnight had an outrageously good game as she scored 13 points along with six rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Emma Book, who scored 12 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Elbert's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jadyn Schmidt, who scored five points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
The win made it two in a row for Miami-Yoder and bumps their season record up to 7-8. As for Elbert, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Miami-Yoder will challenge Hanover at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Miami-Yoder has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Elbert, they will head out on the road to take on Cripple Creek-Victor at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
