After flying high against Venture Academy last Tuesday, Millennium came back down to earth. The Millennium Falcons took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Turlock Bulldogs on Saturday.
Adrienne Delucchi and Jocelyn Hernandez did some serious damage despite the final result: Delucchi scored a run while going 1-for-2, while Hernandez went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and an RBI.
On Turlock's side, Rylee Murphy was incredible, going 3-for-3 with three runs, a triple, and two RBI. Abby Maxwell was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.
Millennium now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Turlock, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.
Millennium will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Juneau-Douglas at 9:45 a.m. As for Turlock, they will square off against Riverbank at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday. Turlock has given up an average of 6.5 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
