Daniel is 6-0 against the Tigers since December of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Daniel Lions will head out on the road to take on the Crescent Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Daniel focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Friday.
Last Friday, Daniel slipped by the Bulldogs 49-48.
Daniel got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tristyn Carrington out in front who scored 12 points along with four steals. Hayden Anderson was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Meanwhile, Crescent's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight defeat. They took a 59-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of West-Oak. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Daniel's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.0 points per game. As for Crescent, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.
Everything came up roses for Daniel against the Tigers in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 92-22 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Daniel since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
