The Carlisle Indians had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They secured a 62-56 W over Brookville. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
When it comes to explaining why Brookville lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cole Crabtree. Despite the final result, he scored 24 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Crabtree has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dominick King, who scored ten points along with six assists.
Carlisle's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Brookville, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carlisle will stay at home for another game and welcome Franklin at 7:15 p.m. on January 16th. Brookville won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Twin Valley South at 7:15 p.m. on January 13th. Twin Valley South will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 742nd, while Brookville is ranked 324th).
