SkyView Academy has enjoyed the comforts of home their last ten games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Union Colony Prep Timberwolves at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. SkyView Academy will be strutting in after a victory while the Timberwolves will be coming in after a defeat.
SkyView Academy can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They breezed by Front Range Christian at home to the tune of 70-18. Given SkyView Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Falcons are ranked 325th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Isaac Dove was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Ty Coberly was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, Union Colony Prep suffered a rough 70-50 defeat at the hands of the Falcons on Friday.
SkyView Academy's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Union Colony Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.
SkyView Academy beat the Timberwolves 52-45 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for SkyView Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
