The Elite Academy Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They escaped with a win against ABF Academy by the margin of a single free throw, 61-60. The win was some much needed relief for Elite Academy as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Elite Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ladainian Brooks, who scored 21 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Brooks has scored at least 25% of Elite Academy's points. Kyler Theophile was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Elite Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for ABF Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
Elite Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Grandview Prep at 4:30 p.m. on December 12th. Grandview Prep has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for ABF Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Specially Fit Academy at 7:00 p.m.
