In what's become a running theme this season, the Yerington Lions gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 54-30 margin over Sierra Lutheran. The win was nothing new for Yerington as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Eliyana Berumen had an outrageously good game as she scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Dellina Picotte was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Yerington is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Sierra Lutheran, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Yerington won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against North Tahoe at 2:00 p.m. on January 27th. North Tahoe will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak. As for Sierra Lutheran, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Silver Stage at 6:00 p.m. Silver Stage is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
