The Marlboro County Bulldogs's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against Lakewood by a score of 56-43. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Marlboro County also won the last time the pair played last Wednesday.
Ralphier Monroe was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Jaitez Barbour was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
When it comes to explaining why Lakewood lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cedric Cisse. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points. Cisse is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Darius Spann, who scored eight points.
Marlboro County's win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Lakewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-15.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Crestwood the next time they take the court. Marlboro County will host Crestwood at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Lakewood will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
