Twelve Bridges will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Placer extended their winning streak to five on Thursday. The Hillmen blew past Nevada Union 20-10. The result was nothing new for the Hillmen, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.
Sydney Nitta was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Nitta was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those two runs gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Placer got a massive performance out of Olivia Thornton, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two RBI, and one double. Those four hits gave Thornton a new career-high. Zoe Ornelaz also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Placer always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .707. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Twelve Bridges sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 13-11 win over Nevada Union on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raging Rhinos.
Lucia Cantarhina was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Bright, who went 2-for-3 with three runs.
Placer pushed their record up to 15-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Twelve Bridges, their record now sits at 9-7.
Thursday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Placer hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .387. However, it's not like Twelve Bridges struggles in that department as they've averaged .334. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Placer skirted past Twelve Bridges 3-2 in their previous meeting on April 4th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hillmen since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
