Oasis Academy has won three straight games at home, while Yerington has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. Oasis Academy will host Yerington at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Saturday, Oasis Academy made easy work of Silver Stage and carried off a 21-4 victory. The Bighorns haven't had any issues with the Nighthawks recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Grace Laca was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs and five RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Lewis, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Laca wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Oasis Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in seven consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Yerington hadn't done well against Pershing County recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Yerington was the clear victor by a 15-3 margin over Pershing County.
Erika Landa tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. What's more, she gave up only one walk, the fewest she's had since back in May of 2024.
On the hitting side, Yerington let Karla Zarazua and Laney Triplett run wild. Zarazua went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Triplett scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Yessenia Zarazua was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
Yerington's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Oasis Academy, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Oasis Academy has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .601. However, it's not like Yerington struggles in that department as they've averaged .529. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Oasis Academy might still be hurting after the 12-5 defeat they got from Yerington in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Will Oasis Academy have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
