Rocky Mountain has gone a perfect 3-0 against Windsor recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Lobos will challenge the Wizards at 4:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Rocky Mountain is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Legacy, who was ranked 11th at the time (Rocky Mountain was ranked 15th). The Lobos came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lightning Bolt on Saturday, sneaking past 13-12. The win was familiar territory for the Lobos, who have now won five contests in a row.
Isaiah Pope looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three).
At the plate, Bradley Mallette was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Riley Honick, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Windsor let Mead stack four runs on them in the second inning on Saturday but luckily Windsor prevailed anyway. The Wizards had just enough and edged out the Mavericks 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wizards have posted against the Mavericks since April 2, 2022.
Windsor also got a great performance from Marcus Hull as he struck out eight batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk). Hull has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Windsor saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nico Vela, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Eli Raineri was another, earning two runs and two stolen bases.
Rocky Mountain's record now sits at 11-4. As for Windsor, their record is now 12-3.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Rocky Mountain has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .475. However, it's not like Windsor struggles in that department as they've averaged .447. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Rocky Mountain skirted past Windsor 5-4 in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Do the Lobos have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wizards turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
