The Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks will take on the Pueblo Central Wildcats at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Hopefully Cheyenne Mountain focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 28 on Thursday.
 Cheyenne Mountain struggled with  three-point shooting accuracy on Thursday (Falcon was 24% better) and sadly the final score reflected it. Cheyenne Mountain was outmatched by Falcon at home  and fell  50-21. The  defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Cheyenne Mountain in their matchups with Falcon: they've now lost nine in a row.
  Ainsley Norton was Cheyenne Mountain's leading scorer, having posted six points.  
 Lucy Trunnell held things down on the boards with eight rebounds.  Trunnell took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
 Meanwhile, Pueblo Central had just enough and edged Pueblo Centennial out  43-41 on Saturday. The  win was just what Pueblo Central needed coming off of a  52-20 loss in their prior  match.
  Danee Cowles was the offensive standout of the  match as she  scored 14 points.  Emeri Whiting was another key contributor,  scoring 8 points.
 Cheyenne Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Pueblo Central, they now  have a winning record of 3-2.
 Cheyenne Mountain took their  victory against Pueblo Central  when the teams last played  back in January of 2022 by a conclusive  54-33. Will Cheyenne Mountain repeat their success,  or does  Pueblo Central have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
