The Big Sandy Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight defeat. They fell just short of Harleton by a score of 40-37. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Big Sandy in their matchups with Harleton: they've now lost four in a row.
Big Sandy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Shemaiah Johnson, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Johnson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alaysia Estes, who scored 11 points along with six steals and five rebounds.
Big Sandy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-28 record this season. As for Harleton, their win bumped their record up to 6-11.
