Overton had a senior duo take command as Natalie Wood dropped a double-double on 14 points and 17 rebounds and Jolee Ryan dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Wood is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down 12 or more in the last four games she's played.
Despite the loss, Wilcox-Hildreth still got an impressive performance from Madison Bunger, who scored 18 points along with seven steals and four blocks. Bunger is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games she's played.
Wilcox-Hildreth struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Overton's victory bumped their record up to 19-1. As for Wilcox-Hildreth, their loss dropped their record down to 15-6.
Overton will take on the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sumner-Eddyville-Miller is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road. As for Wilcox-Hildreth, they will face off against the Buffaloes at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Elm Creek focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Thursday.
