Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Poplar Bluff). They blew past the St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K Knights 72-49 on Saturday. Given the Mules' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 145th, while the Knights are ranked 293rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nathan Reed, who posted 16 points and six assists. Reed is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Michael Leine was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine boards.

The victory was the third in a row for Poplar Bluff, bringing their record for this year to 4-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points per game. As for St. Louis Christian HomeSchool K, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-8.
