The Twin Valley Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Leland & Gray Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Leland & Gray took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Twin Valley, who comes in off a win.
Even though Long Trail scored an imposing 56 points on Saturday, Twin Valley still came out on top. Twin Valley walked away with a 64-56 victory over Long Trail. The score was all tied up 31-31 at the break, but Twin Valley was the better team in the second half.
Twin Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brayden Brown out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 assists. Another player making a difference was Noah Dornburgh, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Leland & Gray's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 78-52 walloping at the hands of Rivendell Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Leland & Gray has suffered yet this season.
Twin Valley is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Leland & Gray, they bumped their record down to 2-9 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Twin Valley might still be hurting after the 48-25 loss they got from Leland & Gray in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Can Twin Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
