The Mountain House Mustangs had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.5 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Monday. Everything went their way against Grace Davis as Mountain House made off with a 66-44 win. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-6.
Mountain House was led to victory by Jordan Assefa and Shamar Jones. Assefa scored 12 points along with four steals, while Jones scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Pinn, who scored seven points.
Mountain House is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Grace Davis, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.
Mountain House will head out on the road to face off against Johansen at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Johansen will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 818th, while Mountain House is ranked 182nd). As for Grace Davis, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Lathrop at 7:15 p.m.
