After flying high against LaVergne last Wednesday, Cookeville came back down to earth. The Cavaliers fell just short of the Ravenwood Raptors by a score of 9-8 on Friday. The Cavaliers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Ty Harrison made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 1-for-4. Tyler Smith was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Cookeville's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Ravenwood, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4-1 record this season.

Cookeville will challenge Wilson Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ravenwood, they will face off against Page at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
