The Willamette Wolverines will be playing at home against the West Albany Bulldogs at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Willamette, yet to win a game, are hoping to taste some of the success that has characterized West Albany's (thus far) undefeated season.
On Tuesday, Willamette suffered a rough 70-47 loss at the hands of North Eugene. While losing is never fun, Willamette can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while North Eugene is ranked 13th).
Meanwhile, West Albany took their game on the road on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 70-39 win over Dallas.
Willamette's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for West Albany, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
Willamette skirted past West Albany 40-38 when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Does Willamette have another victory up their sleeve, or will West Albany turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
