The biggest upset of the week belonged to Malvern Prep, who took down 57th ranked Malvern Prep, 14-13. Chris Morgan ran for 78 yards and caught two passes for 50 yards in the win.
Episcopal Academy extended the longest winning streak in Inter-Academic this week by beating Germantown Academy, 47-0. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.
Episcopal Academy's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Adam Strouss threw for 143 and three touchdowns and Evan Butts had 93 yards receiving. On the ground Strouss chipped in 148 yards. Matt Robinson helped Episcopal Academy's passing attack out by catching two balls for 40 yards.
6-foot-3 quarterback Strouss of Todd Fairlie 's team is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1020. He has also thrown 16 touchdowns. On the ground, Haverford School's Matt Galambos has rushed for 773 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Morgan. The Haverford School star has 31 catches for 518 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Episcopal Academy takes on second place Haverford School. The Churchmen beat the Patriots last week, while the Fords bested the Friars.
There should be lots of points scored when Episcopal Academy and Haverford School face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Churchmen comes in having scored 347 this season, while Michael Murphy's team has scored 187. Episcopal Academy scored 47 points last week as it defeated Germantown Academy.
The Fords and Malvern Prep played the most hotly contested game in Inter-Academic this week, with the Fords eventually emerging with a 14-13 victory. Morgan in the win.
