While it was all tied up 7-7 at halftime, the Bowen Boilermakers were not quite the Solorio Sun Warriors's equal in the second half on Monday. Bowen took a 20-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of Solorio.
D'Mya Adams and Alexis Gore certainly did their best on Monday to try and avoid the loss. Adams scored 2 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals, while Gore scored 4 points along with 8 rebounds. Adams is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Bowen's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Solorio, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.
Bowen will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Hirsch at 5:00 p.m. Hirsch comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Solorio, they will head out on the road to face off against Tilden at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The pair have allowed few points on average, (Tilden: 14.8, Solorio: 26.3) so any points scored will be well earned.
