After flying high against the Lowry Buckaroos on Thursday, the Kuna Kavemen came back down to earth. Kuna fell just short of Spring Creek by a score of 69-67. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Spring Creek's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaron Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Darren Bylund was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Kuna now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Spring Creek, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Kuna and Elko will face off at 2:00 p.m. on December 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Spring Creek is on the road again on Thursday and play against North Tahoe at 5:00 p.m. on December 7th.
