Regents' tough 48-26 defeat to the Crusaders on Thursday might stick with them for a while. Regents' loss continues an unfortunate trend for the team, making it three in a row.
Despite the defeat, Regents saw an underclassman step up: Kaileen Harlow scored 21 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. That was a full 80.8% of Regents' points, marking the seventh time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keely McReynolds, who scored three points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Regents' defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for United Christian Academy, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Regents will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for United Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to take on the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Grace Christian's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while the Crusaders have been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
