They claimed a resounding 65-25 victory over Union Colony Prep on the road. With Windsor Charter Academy ahead 39-13 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Windsor Charter Academy can attribute much of their success to Morgan Kimmi, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Kimmi has scored at least 25% of Windsor Charter Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Ella Grasmick, who scored 10 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals.
Despite the defeat, Union Colony Prep saw an underclassman step up: Soliana Gebremskel scored 6 points along with 8 rebounds and 6 steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Windsor Charter Academy and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Union Colony Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Windsor Charter Academy will be playing at home against Liberty Common at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Union Colony Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Loveland Classical at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
