Basketball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is Northern Burlington's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

If Steinert wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Northern Burlington, they should've done a better job of containing Maleeya Brammer. The Northern Burlington Greyhounds walked away with a 48-40 win over the Steinert Spartans on Thursday thanks to Brammer, who went 10-for-22 en route to 25 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game.

Another player making a difference was Karina Harrison, who posted three points. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (20%).

Northern Burlington has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.9 points over those games. As for Steinert, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Coming up, Northern Burlington will challenge Pemberton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Steinert, they will square off against Princeton at 4:00 p.m. on February 21st.
