NorthWood and Warsaw are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Panthers will challenge the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Warsaw will take on a team with plenty of momentum: NorthWood extended their winning streak to three on Monday. The Panthers never let Wawasee get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. Ten seems to be a good number for the Panthers as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Mason Bogan made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

05/03/25 vs Bremen | 1 |
05/02/25 @ Plymouth | 1 |

In other batting news, Brody Rondeau was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Nathan Shrock also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Warsaw came out on top against Plymouth on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Tigers blew past the Pilgrims/Rockies 8-2. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Like NorthWood, Warsaw also got a great game from a two-way player: Kellan Bailey. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Bailey has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
In other pitching news, Zac Miller looked comfortable as he struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Grady Nelson, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Logan Kim was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs.
Warsaw is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for NorthWood, their record is now 14-7.
NorthWood might still be hurting after the 12-6 loss they got from Warsaw in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
