The victory was all the more spectacular given Palmer Trinity's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 411th, while Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) is ranked 199th).
Jake Keller was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. Harrison Miles was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds.
Despite the defeat, Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) had strong showings from Jeremiah Touze, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds, and Tony Guerrero, who scored 14 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The match was Guerrero's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Noah Rodriguez, who scored five points.
Palmer Trinity's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Somerset Academy (Silver Palms), their loss dropped their record down to 4-1.
