Anna grace Blalock put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 22 points along with nine rebounds. That was a full 43.1% of Abbeville Christian Academy's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Kayla Dyson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds.
Lakeside School was handed a three-point defeat in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Crenshaw Christian Academy on Thursday. Lakeside School claimed a resounding 52-11 win over Crenshaw Christian Academy on the road. That looming 52-11 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Lakeside School yet this season.
Chloe Helms was her usual excellent self, scoring 25 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Lakeside School's points. Another player making a difference was Sophie Seaborn, who scored nine points.
Abbeville Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Lakeside School, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.
Abbeville Christian Academy came up short against Lakeside School in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 46-35. Can Abbeville Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
