The Sharyland Rattlers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 77-36 loss at the hands of Vela. Sharyland has struggled against Vela recently, as their match on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
It was another big night for Axel Garza, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals for Vela. The game was Garza's 14th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ej Avelar, who scored ten points.
Sharyland has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Vela, they pushed their record up to 13-5 with that win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Valley View will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1202nd, while Vela is ranked 182nd).
